Wearable Tree Art Earrings

More than earrings - a little piece of a tree's story, made to be worn.

These handcrafted wooden earrings are created from sensitively selected, sustainably sourced Holly wood grown in the Stroud area of Gloucestershire.

The tree is the artist.

Long before I begin working with the wood, the tree has already been creating - its grain, colour, markings and patterns shaped through years of growth, by time, season and place.

My role is to work slowly with the wood, using traditional craft to reveal what is already there, transforming a small part of the tree into unique wearable Tree Art.

No two pairs will ever be quite the same.

Tree Wisdom

Holly has traditionally been associated with Courage, Hope and Protection - qualities that invite us to reflect on courage through darker times, hope in the knowledge that light returns, and protection through creating safe boundaries and shelter.

Each pair comes with a Holly Tree Wisdom Card, sharing the qualities, stories and traditional symbolism associated with the tree.

Made by Hand, From Tree to Jewellery

Each pair is individually made using traditional woodworking techniques and hand tools.

The wood is carefully selected, sawn and split before being shaped with an axe and drawknife and turned on a foot-powered lathe. Each earring is then individually cut, carved and refined by hand.

Every cut, turn and facet reveals something that was already there - the art created by the tree.

The finished earrings are treated with a naturally derived hard wax oil, protecting the wood while allowing its grain, colour and character to remain at the heart of the piece.

Wood is a natural material, and every pair has its own grain, colour, markings and subtle variations.

These aren't imperfections. They are part of the character created by the tree and what makes your piece of Tree Art unique.

Each pair arrives in a branded cardboard jewellery box with its Holly Tree Wisdom Card, making it a thoughtful gift for someone who loves trees, nature and beautifully made things.

A small vial of flax oil is also included, allowing the wood to be nourished occasionally as the earrings are worn and enjoyed over time.

Caring for Your Tree Art

The hard wax oil finish provides light protection, but natural wood remains sensitive to moisture.

·       Avoid prolonged contact with water.

·       Remove your earrings before bathing, swimming or showering.

·       Occasionally nourish the wood with a very small amount of the supplied flax oil.

With a little care, your Tree Art can continue to develop its own beautiful character over time.
